Naomi’s Ceilidh at Glasgow University

Date: 14 March 2018.

Naomi organised a Ceilidh in the GUU (Glasgow university union) using the ‘Fiddlesticks’ ceilidh band. Around 50 students attended the ceilidh and enjoyed dancing away to the Scottish music for over 3 hours!

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the ceilidh and were really interested in the work we would be carrying out at Kitega. This was encouraging and they can’t wait to hear about it when we come back.

The band were excellent, they used a variety of instruments and styles of music, which everyone loved! They explained the steps for each dance before everyone joined in – this was useful for the non-Scottish students.

Raised: £300
