Friday 27th July
We all woke up but didn’t want to get out of bed as we knew it was time to say goodbye.
The look on the children’s faces was heart breaking as they knew we had to go home today. We played one last game of duck duck goose and threw the frisbee around to prevent us from thinking about leaving.
The wall was finally finished this morning and looks beautiful, we hope all the staff/children at Kitega and the wider community will look to the wall and remember us Scots and our time in uganda.
After thousands of hugs from the children and tears shed it was finally time for us to leave. Everyone was very sad about us leaving but hoped we would return in the future. We all wanted to take the children back to Scotland in our suitcases!
We leave hoping that Kitega will progress and more disabled children will get the help they deserve. Also that the people of uganda continue to work in their VICOBA groups to achieve their dreams. We pray everyone lives in happiness and God will continue helping them.
The Kitega centre and Uganda will have a place in everyone’s hearts, so many wonderful memories and amazing friendships have been made during our time.
